AgSouth Homegrown Athlete of the Week – Stephen Russell

Stephen Russell, Men’s Swimming & Diving, Senior, Spring, TX

Russell won two individual events and was a member of two first-place relay teams in Clemson’s dual meet road wins over Davidson and N.C. State last week. Russell helped the Tiger men’s swimming and diving team improve to 9-2 overall and 4-2 in conference meets.

Against Davidson, Russell won the 50 free with a time of 21.06 and was a member of the Tigers’ winning 200 free relay team. Against N.C. State, the senior from Spring, TX took first place in the 100 free (46.07) and second in the 100 fly (50.26). His 400 free relay team finished first against the Wolfpack and he was also a member of Clemson’s second-place 200 medley relay team at the meet.
