Steiner led the Tigers in kills and hitting percentage in both matches this weekend, helping Clemson to remain undefeated in league play, one of just two teams left with unblemished conference records. The Tigers’ 4-0 start to the ACC season is the team’s best since the 1999 season when they opened 5-0 en route to a 15-1 conference mark and regular season title.
Steiner increased her ACC-leading hitting percentage to .424 from .405 with two more remarkable hitting performances. She hit .667 with 13 kills and one error in 18 attempts in Clemson’s 3-0 win over Virginia Tech on Friday night. In the Tigers’ 3-0 sweep of Virginia on Saturday, Steiner posted 11 kills and three errors in 19 attempts for a .421 hitting percentage. She also recorded five block assists in the two matches.
