Murphy was named the MVP of the DePaul Challenge, which the Tigers won with a 3-0 record. The setter posted 93 assists for the tournament and also added 21 digs and 11 blocks to the Tiger effort. Clemson didn’t drop a set in the tournament, outscoring its three opponents 225 to 132. Murphy guided the Tigers to an incredible .357 (127K-26E-283TA) combined hitting percentage in the three matches.
The senior also passed several milestones during the weekend. In the first match, she passed the 4,000 assist mark for her career. Against DePaul, she recorded her 1,000th career dig and played in her 100th career match. She also moved into 8th on Clemson’s all-time block assist list.
