ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament Ticket Information

The Tiger men’s basketball team is currently entering the final portion of the regular season schedule and soon will be heading to the 2011 ACC Tournament, which will be held in Greensboro, NC on March 10-13. Greensboro will play host to the ACC Tournament for the second consecutive year, as the 2010 conference tournament was held in the same location. Clemson will receive a total of 1,500 tickets for this year’s tournament, as compared to 1,700 the previous year in Greensboro.

The Clemson Athletic Ticket Office sent order forms the week of January 17 to approximately 1,000 IPTAY Donors that hold basketball season tickets and qualify within the IPTAY priority points below. The deadline is set for Wednesday, February 2. This deadline is very important and we ask IPTAY Donors to please have their order form in by the deadline. The price for each book is $396 this year. The point cutoffs determined by the IPTAY/Ticket Office are below. We have decided to open up the application process to more IPTAY Donors than in the past rather than mailing out additional applications as the tournament gets closer. This will hopefully give IPTAY Donors more time to plan their trip.

4 ACC Books – 300 IPTAY priority points and above 2 ACC Books – 100 to 299 IPTAY priority points

We will remain consistent with last year, limiting the maximum number of tournament tickets at four ticket books and two ticket books with the respective IPTAY priority point cut-offs. The reason for this is to accommodate as many IPTAY Donors as possible this year and in future years.

When you evaluate the number of tickets available to our donors after we handle our player guest tickets, coaches, university and athletic officials and students, as well as contractual obligations with our car dealers and sponsors, we will only have approximately 1,100 tickets to offer our IPTAY Donors. Therefore, we wanted to convey our challenges as well as our allocation process well in advance. Tickets can also be ordered through qualified IPTAY Donor accounts online at ClemsonTigers.com.
