HUNTSVILLE, ALA. – The No. 14 Clemson Gymnastics program continued to position itself for postseason at it again boosted its NQS to 196.621 with a 196.875 at Elevate the Stage quad meet at the Von Braun Center against No. 6 Georgia (198.075), No. 17 Auburn (197.200) and Pitt (196.000). This weekend, Clemson has earned its two best team scores ever away from home at No. 9 Michigan on Friday (196.975) and today. Sunday marked Clemson’s sixth consecutive team score of 196.500 or better as a team, surpassing its total of five such scores in its first two seasons.
Clemson (5-7) put together one of its best floor rotations on record, as all six gymnasts posted 9.850s or better for just the second time in program history. The floor lineup posted a 49.525 overall, led by Brie Clark (9.950), Ella Cesario (9.925) and Tara Walsh (9.900). Molly Arnold and Maggie Holman also added 9.875s, and Lilly Lippeatt’s 9.850 ended up being dropped. Lippeatt had three scores of 9.850 or better in her three performances, as she also added a 9.850 on floor and a 9.875 on bars.
The Tigers also posted the fifth-best vault rotation on record with a 49.200, which included a 9.900 from Cesario, who finished second with a 39.425 All-Around total.
Bars: 49.175
All six Tigers posted a 9.800 or better in a single bars rotation for the first time since Feb. 9, 2025, a span of 18 meets, and the first time under Co-Head Coaches Justin Howell and Liz Crandall-Howell. Lilly Lippeatt led off with a strong 9.875, and Hannah Clark followed with a 9.850. Freshman Emma Malewski posted a 9.800 and Ella Cesario followed with a 9.825. Trinity Brown posted a 9.800 in her second time back in the lineup this season, just two days after matching the school record on Friday. Quinn Kuhl posted a 9.825 in the sixth spot to close the rotation.
Beam: 48.975
Lippeatt’s 9.850 in the leadoff spot led the Tigers on the rotation, as Brie Clark, Cesario, Quinn Kuhl and Tara Walsh each had 9.775s.
Floor: 49.525 (t-3rd in program history, best ever in road meet)
After posting a 49.425 just two nights ago, the Tigers upped their floor performance again with a remarkable 49.525 on Sunday. Three Tigers posted 9.900s or better in Brie Clark (9.950), Ella Cesario (9.925) and Tara Walsh (9.900). Maggie Holman and Molly Arnold each posted 9.875s, and Lilly Lippeatt had a 9.850. Clemson dropped a 9.850 for just the second time ever, matching a floor performance against Air Force on Mar. 8, 2024, two years ago to the day.
Vault: 49.200 (t-5th in program history)
The Tigers closed the meet strong on vault with a 49.200, which was tied for fifth-best in program history. Brie Clark led off with a career-high tying 9.850, and Paige Anastasi also matched her Clemson best with a 9.800. Madison Minner and Maggie Holman followed with 9.825s, and Cesario was nearly perfect on her Yurchenko full.
