Maness, Pavese Earn ACC Weekly Honors

CLEMSON, S.C. – Junior Sierra Maness and freshman Mac Paveese have earned ACC weekly honors after picking up ACC Pitcher and Co-Freshman, respectively, of the Week awards for games played February 25 – March 1, the conference office announced Tuesday. These are the first two weekly conference honors for the Tigers during the 2026 season.

Last week, Maness notched two top 15 victories with a complete game performance at No. 15 Georgia and against No. 12 Mississippi State. She finished the week with a 0.00 ERA and 12 strikeouts through 13 innings of work while only allowing 12 hits and limiting opponents to four walks. The junior got the nod at Georgia to open the week and threw 105 pitches in six innings with eight strikeouts and no extra-base hits. She concluded her week with a seven-inning shutout against Mississippi State where she struck out three batters without giving up a walk. In her weekend finale, Maness limited the Bulldogs to only five hits, none for extra bases.

Pavese made her statement early in the week, recording a two-run homer in her opening plate appearance at Georgia and added another hit to help secure the run-rule victory. She continued by going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI against Wofford on Friday before tallying another home run as one of her two hits against Georgia Southern. To help Clemson win its 250th game in program history, Pavese recorded an RBI double and scored a run to shutout No. 12 Mississippi State on Saturday before a hit-by-pitch in the Sunday finale gave her another RBI on the week. She wrapped up the weekend batting .412 with seven hits, two home runs, one double, six RBIs and five runs scored on top of having a .824 slugging percentage.

The Tigers return to the field on Wednesday, March 4 when they host College of Charleston at 6 p.m. in McWhorter Stadium. Fans can catch the game on ACCNX or by purchasing $5 tickets online here.
