CLEMSON, S.C. – Graduate Brie Clark, who entered the meet ranked third nationally on floor, posted the first 9.975 in program history as the 14th-ranked Clemson Gymnastics program scored a 196.525 in a dual meet victory at Littlejohn Coliseum on Military Appreciation Day. The Tigers’ (4-4, 3-3 ACC) season scoring average came out to 196.528 through eight meets after posting the ninth-highest total overall in program history. The No. 34 Panthers (1-9, 0-6 ACC) finished with a 194.875.
Clark also added a career-best 9.850 on vault and a 9.800 on beam. Maggie Holman tied her personal best on vault with a 9.900 for her third career vault title, and Emma Malewski, who posted her first career 9.850 on beam. Ella Cesario had a 39.325 all-around score behind strong performances on floor (9.900) and beam (9.875). Clemson also debuted its “Salute” leotard for Military Appreciation Day in the win.
Kate Bryant was presented with the Lance Corporal Noah Lippeatt Espirit De Corps Award. The award recognizes an individual Clemson gymnast who reflects Lance Corporal Lippeatt’s legacy—a Marine who fosters a sense of family among their peers, uplifts morale in the face of adversity, and demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to the collective strength of their unit.

Vault: 49.225 (t-2nd in program history)
Clemson used five solid vaults to post a 49.225, tied for the second-best vault rotation in program history. Brie Clark posted a career-best 9.850 in the leadoff spot, and Madison Minner, Clemson’s all-time leader in vaults (32) and points from vault (313.05) followed with a 9.825. Maggie Holman then posted the best vault score of her career, a 9.900 on her front handspring front pike half. Ella Cesario and Tara Walsh then followed with 9.825s. Paige Anastasi had a 9.775 in the anchor spot, and Sophie Stuart (9.650) and Kate Bryant (9.700) each participated in exhibitions.
Bars: 48.750
One of the highlights of the bars rotation came in the first exhibition spot, where Trinity Brown competed live for the first time since suffering an achilles injury more than a year ago, and posting a 9.825. Hannah Clark led the Tigers with a rotation high of 9.825. Lily Lippeatt posted a 9.775 in the leadoff position. Emma Malewski and Ella Cesario matched one another for a 9.725. Quinn Kuhl closed out the rotation with a 9.700.
Beam: 49.275
Clemson led the way with six strong performances on the balance beam to post a 49.275. Lily Lippeatt led the way posting a 9.825 with the first performance of the rotation. Brie Clark followed behind her closely scoring a 9.800. Tara Walsh and Emma Malewski finished out the latter half of the rotation each posting a 9.850 with Emma Malewski scoring a career high on beam. Finally, Ella Cesario and Quinn Kuhl matched one another, each scoring a 9.875 to close out the Tigers.
Floor: 49.275
The Tigers finished out the meet with a strong 49.275 on the floor behind Clark’s 9.975 in the anchor spot, the highest score in any event in program history. Lilly Lippeatt, Maggie Holman, and Tara Walsh each posted a 9.800. Finally, Ella Cesario matched her career best of 9.900.

Clemson will travel on Friday, Mar. 6 to face the Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor, and then will travel to Huntsville, Ala. for Elevate the Stage where the Tigers will take on Georgia, Pitt and Auburn.
