Clemson, S.C. – Clemson women’s basketball Hosts Georgia Tech inside Littlejohn Coliseum on Thursday, Feb. 12 (Hoopin’ for Hope Cancer Awareness Game). Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m., and the game will air live on ACCN.
SETTING THE STAGEThe Tigers have won four of their last five contests and are looking for their first win over Georgia Tech this season. The Yellow Jackets have captured two of their last three games and are looking to complete their sweep of the Tigers.
THE CLEMSON-GEORGIA TECH SERIESClemson trails 51-47 in the all-time series with Georgia Tech. The pairings between the Tigers and Yellow Jackets span back to the 1979-80 season. In the last clash earlier this season, Clemson fell to Georgia Tech, 58-55 (Jan. 11, 2026).

CLEMSON WOMEN’S BASKETBALL HEAD COACH SHAWN POPPIE SIGNS CONTRACT EXTENSIONClemson women’s basketball Head Coach Shawn Poppie has signed a contract extension through the 2030-31 season, announced by Athletic Director Graham Neff. The Board of Trustees compensation committee approved the action on Friday morning (Feb. 6)

CLEMSON’S BARBARA KENNEDY-DIXON NAMED TO 2026 WOMEN’S BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME CLASSBarbara Kennedy-Dixon has been named to The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame (WBHOF) Class of 2026 as a posthumous veteran honoree. To this day, Kennedy-Dixon leads Clemson & The ACC in Career Points (3,113) and scoring average (24.5). She is one of just eight players with at least 3,000 points and 1,000 rebounds since the NCAA started sponsoring women’s sports in 1981-82 (Barbara’s senior year). The Tennessee Theatre will host the induction ceremony on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
TIGERS INK MONSTER SIGNING CLASS: HIGHEST EVER IN PROGRAM HISTORY!The incoming 2026 class is the highest-ranked signing class in program history and ranks fourth nationally (per 247 Sports) and sixth nationally (per ESPN). Coach Poppie, who is in his second year at the helm, has signed six Top-100 recruits in two years. Prior to the Poppie Era at Clemson, the program has only had six Top-100 recruits in the previous 12 years.
