• The Tigers welcome Furman to McWhorter Stadium for the 2026 home opener after returning from Florida with a 3-2 record at the NFCA Leadoff Classic
• Tuesday’s game will mark the 10th time the two programs have faced off with the Tigers holding the 8-1 advantage against the Paladins
• Clemson Connections: Associate Head Coach Kyle Jamieson spent five years at the helm of the Paladins, including being crowned the 2017 SoCon Coach of the Year, before taking his current role with the Tigers. 2023 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and Clemson Alum, Valerie Cagle, is a current member of the Furman staff.

• Sophomore Marian Collins was crucial to Clemson’s success – starting at shortstop and batting sixth in the lineup as a freshman
• She transitioned to third base during opening weekend of the 2026 slate and shifted between the third, fourth and fifth batting position
• Collins opened the 2026 slate with a team-high eight hits with two RBIs and two runs scored over the five-game stretch
• The sophomore drew three walks and was a perfect 2-for-2 on stolen bases that helped the Tigers set a single-game program record with eight stolen bases against Liberty
• Her 16 career doubles already sits ninth amongst Clemson’s records, while it stands third amongst Clemson’s single-season records trailing only Knowler (19) and Aby Vieira (17), who set those marks in 2025
