CLEMSON, SC – Head Coach Cristy McKinney will take her Lady Tiger squad to Blacksburg, VA on Thursday for a match-up against the Hokies. The teams are scheduled to begin play at 7:00 pm from the Cassell Coliseum. Clemson (8-10, 1-2 ACC) is coming off of an 85-73 win at Wake Forest on Monday night, while Virginia Tech (12-6, 0-4 ACC) dropped a 70-57 decision at Virginia last Sunday.

Sophomore Lele Hardy scored 15 points and tallied seven steals last season against the Hokies, while D’Lesha Lloyd is averaging 11.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in three career games versus Virginia Tech. Lloyd recorded a double-double against the Deacs on Monday night and leads the Lady Tigers with a 9.4 scoring average this year.
Scouting The Hokies Virginia Tech owns a 12-6 overall record for the 2007-08 season. The Hokies opened the year at 12-2 but have since dropped their four conference games.
Brittany Cook leads the squad with an 18.0 scoring average while Andrea Barbour is also averaging in double figures at 16.2 points per game. Cook has hit 19 three-point field goals this season for a 34.5-percentage from behind the arc, while Lindsay Biggs has knocked down 20 from long range.
Virginia Tech is averaging 71.5 points per game while holding its opponents to just a 62.8 figure. The Hokies are shooting a .434 percentage from the field and are converting 74.1-percent of their free throw attempts.
Clemson vs. Virginia Tech, The Series Thursday’s game between the Lady Tigers and Hokies will be just the eighth in the series with Clemson holding a slight, 4-3, edge. However, Virginia Tech has won two of three match-ups on its home court, including a 82-70 victory during the 2005-06 season. The Lady Tigers defeated the Hokies last year, winning 73-69 at Littlejohn Coliseum.
