Position: Associate Director of Football Athletic Training
Rob McNulty is entering his first season as Clemson’s Associate Director of Football Athletic Training in 2025.
Before joining Clemson, McNulty served as the First Assistant Athletic Trainer for Purdue’s football program across their 2023 and 2024 seasons. He served two stints as the program’s interim head athletic trainer from November 2023 to March 2024 and again from March to April 2025.
McNulty got his start in collegiate athletics as a graduate assistant at North Texas from 2017-18 before moving to Stephen F. Austin, where he served as their football assistant athletic trainer (2018-19) and transitioned to associate athletic trainer/lead football athletic trainer (2020-23).
McNulty is a trained rehab professional with expertise in on-field injury rehabilitation, performance enhancement, and injury progression in Strength and Conditioning. He also has certifications as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Sports Manual Therapist.
McNulty earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Ball State in 2016 before earning his master’s in interdisciplinary sciences in 2018 at North Texas.
Originally from Libertyville, Ill., McNulty is married to his wife, Laura, and has one daughter, Layla, and dogs, Lucy and Lola.
