Christopher Pelic, M.D., is a physician certified as a Diplomate in the specialty of Psychiatry and subspecialty of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). He serves as team psychiatrist for Clemson Athletics and has worked with Clemson athletes since 2019. Dr. Pelic graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1996 and completed medical school at the University of Toledo. Following medical school, Dr. Pelic completed his residency in psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2004. During the last 21 years in practice, Dr. Pelic has served in various leadership roles with MUSC, the VA Central Office, and Clemson. He maintains an Adjunct Professor appointment at MUSC in the College of Medicine. Dr. Pelic has experience working with both collegiate and professional athletes. His clinical expertise and interests are focused on inpatient mental health, college student mental health, telehealth, and sports psychiatry.

He is a member of two medical honor societies: Alpha Omega Alpha and the Arnold Gold Humanism Society. He has been the Councilor of the Alpha Omega Alpha SC Alpha Chapter. 

Dr. Pelic is a native of Youngstown, Ohio. He and his wife Christine have three kids – Jennifer, Jake, and Justin.
