CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Athletics had six student-athletes named to the 2024 College Sports Communications Academic All-District Women’s At-Large Team. These student-athletes consist of four different Clemson Athletic programs: Women’s Gymnastics, Women’s Golf, Women’s Lacrosse, and Rowing. Gymnastics celebrated its inaugural season and had the highest number of student-athletes named to the team, with three total: Rebecca Wells, Lilly Lippeatt, and Molly Arnold. Women’s Golf, Women’s Lacrosse, and Rowing with one each: Isabella Rawl, Emily Lamparter, and Emerey Sampson.
Academic All-District is a title reserved for college student-athletes who perform at an elite level in their chosen sport and in the classroom. Academic All-America is the longest-running and premier athletic and academic success award across various NCAA Division levels.
Lamparter, Lippeatt, and Sampson were selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists. They will advance to the national ballot, which will be voted on by CSC members in July.
Molly Arnold
Arnold competed in all 13 meets for the Tigers as a floor and vault specialist. During her first season as a Tiger, Arnold tallied a career and team-high 9.975 on vault and tallied the first 9.95 on the floor in program history. In the postseason, Arnold competed as an individual in the NCAA Tournament, recording a 9.900 on vault and a 9.850 on floor. In 2024, Arnold was named to the ACC All-Academic Team; in 2022, she was named to the Academic All-MRGC Team. Arnold is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Capital Education and Development.
Lilly Lippeatt
Lippeatt competed in 12 meets for the Tigers as a bars and beam specialist. During her freshman campaign, Lippeatt earned the first 9.900 in program history on bars against William & Mary, also a career-best. In 11 appearances, she recorded a 9.700 or higher on the beam and a 9.800 or higher in every one of her floor appearances. Against Air Force, Lippeatt scored a career-best 9.925 on the floor. After the ACC Championship, Lippeatt was named the 2024 ACC Newcomer of the Year and was a part of the All-ACC Team, All-ACC Championship Team, and the All-ACC Academic Team. Lippeatt is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Rebecca Wells
Wells competed in all 13 meets for the Tigers as an All-Around competitor. She recorded a career-best 9.950 twice on beam against NC State and Air Force. Additionally, she holds seven individual All-Around event titles. Wells was named to the 2024 ACC All-Academic Team. She was also named to the 2022 Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association Scholastic All-American and named to the Academic All-MRGC Team. Wells graduated in May with a degree in Communications with a concentration in Athletic Leadership. She will begin her sixth and final year at Clemson this fall while pursuing a Master’s Degree in Athletic Leadership.
Isabella Rawl
Rawl finished her sophomore year, delivering arguably her most impressive performances in the three postseason events. Rawl had her best outings in the last four tournaments, finishing 19th at the Clemson Invitational, second at the ACC Tournament, and 24th at both the NCAA Bryan Regional and NCAA National. She recorded four rounds in the 60s, all within the last six events. The Lexington, South Carolina native averaged 72.3 for her last ten rounds in the ACC Tournament, NCAA Regional, and NCAA Finals; she joins Annabelle Pancake as the only Clemson golfer to post top-25 finishes in all three tournaments in the same year. With a stroke average of 72.55, she ranked third on the team and recorded the ninth-best season average in Clemson history. She had 11 rounds at par or better, the third most on this year’s team, and tied for ninth in Clemson history. Rawl had 106 birdies, second on the team, and tied for fifth in Clemson history. She had double figures in birdies in seven tournaments, including four of the last five, with a career-best 15 birdies at the NCAA National Tournament. Rawl was named to the 2024 Academic All-ACC team and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Health Science.
Emily Lamparter
The junior, Emily Lamparter, started in all 18 games for the Tigers this season and earned second-team All-ACC and Academic All-ACC honors. She has the second-best save percentage in the ACC (.459) and tallied 147 saves this season alone. In her third conference game of the season against No. 8 North Carolina, Lamparter recorded a career-high 16 saves. In the team’s inaugural season and Lamparter’s sophomore campaign, she received IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week, honorable mention to Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American awards, and Academic All-ACC Team accolades. The Lake Wylie, South Carolina native is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition.
Emerey Sampson
The Mercer Island, Washington native competed in all seven regattas this season to earn a spot on the All-ACC Second Team and Academic All-ACC Team honors for the 2023-24 season. She recorded four first-place finishes this year at the Head of the Oklahoma, the Secret City Head Race, the Cardinal Invitational, and the Big 10 Invitational. Sampson competed in the 1v8+ in the ACC Championships and finished fifth in the grand finals. In her first three seasons with the Tigers, Sampson earned five first-place finishes, Academic All-ACC Team honors (2022-23), and the 2022 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar Athlete award. Sampson just graduated from Clemson this May with a degree in Economics.
