CLEMSON, S.C. –The Clemson track and field program is set for its first road trip of the 2022-23 season, as members of the team are set to compete at the Texas Tech Red Raider Open as well as the Vanderbilt Invitational. The Red Raider Open will occur on Friday, January 20 from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+. The Vanderbilt Invitational is a two day meet spanning from the morning of January 20 through the evening of Saturday, January 21 and will stream on SECN+.

This marks Clemson’s third weekend of competition on the season, and the team is beginning to hit its stride as it inches towards the ACC Championship Meet in Louisville, Ky. beginning on February 23. At last weekend’s Clemson Invitational, many Tigers put on top-notch performances. Notably, Danielle Sloley threw 16.68 meters in the shot put, which is second-best in school history. Fellow thrower Marie Forbes also moved to No. 2 in Clemson history in the weight throw, tossing 21.15 meters.

On the men’s side, Tarees Rhoden and Victor Ndiwa each set top-10 marks, with Rhoden claiming the No. 4 spot in the 1000 meter with a time of 2:24.50. Ndiwa is now No. 10 on the school’s all-time mile list with a time of 4:05.76,
