2022 Summer League Tigers
CLEMSON, S.C. – A total of 10 returning Tigers from the 2022 team played in various summer leagues after the 2022 season.
Caden Grice was a Cape Cod League All-Star Game selection who played for Chatham. He hit .213 with four homers, seven doubles, 11 RBIs and 14 runs in 40 games in the field. He was also 0-0 with an 0.00 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 10.2 innings pitched over four appearances (one start) on the mound.
Grice’s teammate with Chatham, Cooper Ingle, hit .252 with a homer, five doubles, eight RBIs, 18 runs and three steals in 42 games.
Nick Hoffmann and Blake Wright both played for Wareham in the Cape Cod League. Hoffmann was 2-0 with a 3.60 ERA and four strikeouts against no walks in 10.0 innings pitched over three appearances (one start). Wright hit .206 with a homer, three doubles, 13 RBIs, 13 runs and a steal in 34 games.
Four Tigers played in the Valley League. Gavin Abrams and Tristan Bissetta were teammates at Charlottesville.
Reed Garris played for Strasburg and hit .276 with a double, six RBIs and five runs in 13 games in the field. Garris was also 1-1 with a 4.15 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 13.0 innings pitched over seven appearances (two starts) on the mound. Garris earned North Division All-Valley League honors as well.
Rocco Reid played for Purcellville, as he was 2-2 with a 4.85 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 29.2 innings pitched over seven starts.
Billy Amick played for Lexington in the Coastal Plain League, where he hit .265 with two homers, a triple, seven doubles, 22 RBIs, 20 runs and a steal in 38 games.
Will Taylor played for Greeneville in the Appy League as well. He hit .319 in 19 games.
