Brownell Statement on James Johnson’s Hiring at Virginia Tech

Former Clemson assistant James Johnson was named the head coach at Virginia Tech in a press conference at 2:00 PM today.

Statement from Clemson Head Coach Brad Brownell: “This was a unique situation. I’m happy for James, as this is certainly a great opportunity at Virginia Tech. We looked forward to having James on our staff, but this was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up at Virginia Tech. We look forward to competing against him in the near future.”
