Women’s Golf Heads West for Clover Cup

Clemson, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers hit the road again this weekend, heading for Mesa, Ariz., and the Clover Cup. The event, hosted by Notre Dame, is being held at the par-72, 6,184-yard Longbow Golf Club.

The three-day event starts on Friday, with 18 holes being played each day (54 total). The Tigers competed in the Clover Cup in 2020-21, finishing 4th out of 12 teams. This year’s 17-team field includes eight ranked teams (No. 17 LSU, No. 20 Texas A&M, No. 27 Kentucky, No. 29 TCU, No. 30 Georgia, No. 40 North Carolina, No. 42 Clemson, and No. 48 ETSU), as well as Cincinnati, Colorado State, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Kansas State, Mercer, New Mexico and host-school Notre Dame.

Annabelle Pancake, who leads the Tigers on the course this weekend, had the best round of her career last year at the Clover Cup, shooting a 65 in the final round. Kat Schuster, Melena Barrientos, Callista Rice and Savannah Grewal round out the lineup for the Tigers, while Gracyn Burgess will compete as an individual.
