This past Saturday, the winners of the BI-LO Tailgate with the Top Tigers promotion enjoyed the experience of a lifetime.
April Youngblood and Clint Yarborough, along with their guests, arrived in Clemson around 2:00 PM on Saturday and were given a complete tour of Memorial Stadium. Their tour included a behind the scenes look at the Clemson football locker room and recruiting area, pictures at Howard’s Rock and the chance to explore the West Zone Club facility. At 3:00 PM, they had the opportunity to share a catered meal with Head Football Coach Dabo Swinney in the West Zone Club. Upon learning that April and Clint had not yet seen the football offices, Coach Swinney offered to give them a private tour through the football administration area including a visit to his personal office.
“I want to thank BI-LO for this incredible experience. It was very interesting and something that not many people will ever get to do. It was one of the best experiences of my life,” said Youngblood.
Before walking to Littlejohn Coliseum to enjoy the men’s basketball game against Wake Forest, the winners were given a prize package that included shirts, autographed collectibles and other Clemson merchandise. During a time-out of the basketball game, April and Clint were recognized on the court and helped throw t-shirts to fans in the crowd. When they returned to their seats, they were greeted by Clemson Head Baseball Coach Jack Leggett, who spent time autographing items and talking with them. The Tigers’ win over Wake Forest brought their afternoon to an end and capped off this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
“BI-LO’s Tailgate with the Top Tigers is a top notch promotion and it exceeded all of my expectations. Every aspect was a great experience. Coach Swinney and Coach Leggett made my family feel welcome. My son had the time of his life,” said Clint.
The next BI-LO Tailgate with the Top Tigers experience will be held during a 2011 Clemson baseball game. Fans will have the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime experience that includes spending time with Head Football Coach Dabo Swinney and Head Men’s Basketball Coach Brad Brownell.
