CLEMSON, SC – Clemson Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning Coach Larry Greenlee has been named a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa). The honor is the highest given in the strength and conditioning coaching profession.
The announcement gives Clemson two Master Strength and Conditioning Coaches on its staff. Head Strength Coach Joey Batson was presented with the honor three years ago.
“This is an incredible honor for Larry,” said CSCCa Executive Director Dr. Chuck Stiggins. “Being named a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach signifies a commitment to the student-athlete, the Clemson University Athletic Program, and the strength and conditioning profession. We are honored to have Coach Greenlee as a member of our association and have him join the ranks of the Master Strength and Conditioning Coaches. He is truly a model of an outstanding strength and conditioning professional.”
Greenlee is finishing his 13th year in a full-time capacity (16 years including time as a graduate student) at Clemson and has been involved with all sports over his career. He is Batson’s primary assistant when it comes to football. Clemson’s strength and conditioning staff certainly had a positive impact on Clemson winning the 2011 ACC Football Championship and record setting four wins over top 25 teams.
