Clemson Ranked #15 in Baseball America Preseason Baseball Poll

Clemson, SC – Clemson is ranked #15 in Baseball America’s 2010 preseason poll, released on Wednesday. Texas is atop the Baseball America poll, followed by #2 Virginia, #3 Louisiana State, #4 Cal State Fullerton, and #5 Rice. Other ACC teams ranked in the top 25 include #6 Georgia Tech, #9 Florida State, #16 Miami (FL), and #20 North Carolina, meaning six of the top-20 teams are from the ACC.

The Tigers, who are also ranked #16 in the preseason Collegiate Baseball poll, had a 44-22 overall record and 19-11 ACC regular-season mark in 2009, and they advanced to the Tempe (AZ) Super Regional after capturing the Clemson (SC) Regional title. Clemson returns eight starters in the field and 20 lettermen. The Tigers will open the 2010 season on February 19 against Miami (OH) at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
