Job Opening: Videography GA

Clemson University is offering an opportunity for a graduate student considering a career in athletic communications, with a focus on being a videographer, to serve as a graduate assistant within its Athletic Department.

The students will be mentored by the Director of New & Creative Media and Assistant Director of New & Creative Media.

Additional consideration will be given to students with experience shooting with DSLR or mirrorless cameras and editing with Adobe Creative Cloud solutions (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Prelude, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).

Throughout this experience, the student will be provided opportunities to apply concepts and theories from the classroom to an intercollegiate athletic environment.

Opportunities include:

  • Support digital/feature video needs as assigned by Assistant Director of New & Creative Media and Director of New & Creative Media.
  • Produce short- and long-form video content promoting our student-athletes, programs and department.
  • Distribution includes social media, web, videoboard and facility screens.
  • Assist with management of 3-5 undergraduate student assistants.
  • Assist with the maintenance, organization and scheduling of equipment.

 Interested students should have a B. S. degree and  excellent communication and organizational skills; willingness to work evening, weekend and holiday hours; demonstrated experience in the field of video production; strong computer skills.

NOTES: Additional Salary Information: Additional Salary Information: Financial Aid: $26,000 ($9,000 fall semester, $9,000 spring semester, $8,000 summer school) in financial aid will be provided for tuition, fees and cost of attendance.
