Favrot Ranked Among Nation’s Best

Clemson sophomore Alex Favrot has been recognized on the Oracle/ITA 2015 Division I Men’s National Newcomer/Freshmen Rankings. Favrot is ranked 9th among the 10 best, according to the ITA.

Favrot, a native of Lyon, France, comes to Clemson this year after a decorated junior career in France. His career was highlighted by an appearance in the second round of singles play at the Rolland Garros Junior French Championships and semifinal appearances in doubles at the Australian Open Junior Championships and the Junior French Championships in 2012. His highest career rankings are 60th in the world junior rankings and 900th in the world professional rankings.

Favrot is an international transfer student on campus this fall. He joins fellow Frenchman Daffra Sanon, a native of Paris, on the Tigers’ roster.
