CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will host the North Carolina State Wolfpack on Saturday at noon in McHugh Natatorium. The meet will be the final home competition for the Tigers this season, and they will honor their seniors before the meet.

There are sixteen seniors, four male and twelve female, to be recognized on the afternoon. Amongst them, seven are on Clemson’s all-time top ten list, hold five ACC Championships, and ten have been named to the ACC Honor Roll during their careers.

Clemson enters the meet at 4-4 (2-3 ACC) on the women’s side and 2-6 (0-5) on the men’s side on the season. The women are coming off a two-point victory at Florida State on Jan. 17. Michelle Parkhurst was named ACC Swimming Performer of the Week for her four wins in Tallahassee.

The meet will be broadcast live by ACC Select starting at noon, as former Tiger swimmer Jay Crout will call the action.

The Tigers and Wolfpack have met in 33 consecutive seasons. The Tiger women hold a 20-12 series advantage, while the men are 13-39 against the Pack in a series that dates to 1936. Last season, the Tigers won 165-133 on the men’s side and 171-129 on the women’s side.

The Tigers’ group of Michelle Parkhurst will compete in the 200 free relay for the first time this season. The foursome are the defending ACC Champions with an ACC record 1:30.60 a season ago. They will be aiming for the pool record in the event, which currently stands at 1:34.30.

The Tigers will next head to Duke for a meet with the Blue Devils on Jan. 31. After that, the teams will head to their respective conference meets, held in College Park, MD.
