CLEMSON, SC – Join us on Friday, October 1, as Blue Key Honor Society will host the 54th annual Tigerama Homecoming pep rally at Littlejohn Coliseum. With the start of a new decade, Clemson is on a journey of progression, of forward movement, of growth and of conquering the challenges that stand before us. This year’s theme, “Roaring Horizons,” will look to acknowledge the new decade and forward thinking of Clemson by celebrating past events that have brought us to where we are today and what will be echoed on into our future.

Tigerama 2010 will feature time-honored favorites of Tigerama, such as student skits (including the second annual Clemson Football player’s skit), the crowning of Miss Homecoming, Clemson Cheerleaders and Rally Cats and of course, Tiger Band. Additionally, this year’s show will feature appearances from Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Football Team, performances by country music artist Doug McCormick (’08) and student a cappella groups TakeNote and TIGEROAR as well as many other student organization groups. As always, Tigerama 2010 will conclude with the upstate’s best fireworks display around.

The celebration begins at 5:30 pm on Littlejohn Lawn with a pre-event known as “Tailgate Tigerama”. Blue Key and Omicron Delta Kappa invite alumni, community members, students and fans alike to come out and enjoy entertainment provided by bands, entertainment groups and many more. There will be plenty of fun for everyone with Trick-or-Treating for young Tiger fans, sponsored by student organizations.

Doors open at 6:30PM with the show begins at 7:00PM. Our Masters of Ceremonies will be the roaring 1987 First Team All-American Clemson football star, Michael Dean Perry (`87) and standout Clemson Offensive Lineman Will Merritt (`01). Tickets are $10 at the door the night of the show, $8 for adults in advance and $6 for students in advance with their school ID. Tickets can be purchased at various vendors in downtown Clemson as well as on the new Tigerama website. Please visit www.Tigerama2010.com for details. Profits from the student run pep-rally go towards the Tigerama Scholarship Endowment Fund for Clemson University students.

For all of Clemson, our horizons are orange, no matter what changes are before us. It’s the time of the Tiger. And as tigers, we are naturally courageous fighters, both gracious and brave. Every student – past and present – have taken their experiences from Clemson and used that knowledge to serve beyond These Hills, just as Thomas Green Clemson and many legends since have envisioned. This is the time for Clemson to reach out on our horizons for our roaring triumph to be heard. This year is the year, Tigerama 2010 – Roaring Horizons. Tigerama is one of the largest student-run pep rallies in the nation and is looked forward to every year as a well-loved Clemson tradition. Clemson’s chapter of Blue Key Honor Society is responsible for planning and directing the event. This year’s Tigerama Director is Helen Oxner, a Senior Marketing major from Greenville, South Carolina.
