#23 Clemson Opens ACC Play with Miami on Friday

CLEMSON, SC – The 23rd-ranked Clemson men’s tennis team will open the Atlantic Coast Conference segment of their schedule Friday morning as the Tigers play host to Miami at 11:00 a.m. at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. The Tigers have a 13-2 record overall and are coming off a 4-1 victory over South Carolina Wednesday afternoon. Hunter Harrington in playing number-one singles for the Tigers. This year he leads the team with a 16-6 record overall and a 9-3 mark in dual matches. Luke Johnson has a 12-4 record overall and a 10-1 mark in dual matches. The doubles team of Harrington and Dominique Maden have a 15-2 record overall and a 10-0 mark in dual matches. Miami has a 6-3 record overall and is also playing its first conference match of the season. Diego Soto has an 8-1 record to lead the Hurricanes. The doubles team of Soto and Gabriel Flores have a 6-3 record as a doubles team. This will be the 51st meeting between Clemson and Miami on the tennis courts. The series that began in 1968 is tied 25-25. The Tigers have won three of the last four meetings in the series. In matches played at Clemson, the Tigers have a 12-6 record versus Miami.
