CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Softball’s Macey Cintron (P/UTL) has been selected to the Atlantic Coast Conference’s 2026 Preseason All-AC Team, the league office announced Thursday. Additionally, the Tigers were predicted to finish second after receiving 173 votes, including one first-place vote, from the league’s head coaches.

Cintron returns to the field for her second season with the Tigers after being named the 2025 ACC Freshman of the Year and a NFCA First Team All-Region selection. The sophomore finished with a .292 average with 52 hits, including 14 home runs, eight doubles and one triple. She was second on the team after drawing 39 walks which contributed to her .417 on-base percentage. The Cumming, Ga., native contributed 51 RBIs and a .584 slugging percentage. In the circle, the appeared in 23 games and accumulated eight victories and two saves with a 2.25 ERA. Through 62.1 innings, Cintron struck out 48 batters while limiting opponents to a .218 average.
Clemson will look to “Attack The Moment” during the 2026 campaign that begins with the Orange vs. Purple scrimmage on Sunday, Feb. 1 at noon. This will be fans’ first opportunity to see the Tigers in McWhorter Stadium prior to the 2026 season beginning on Feb. 5 in Clearwater, Fla., at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. Clemson will be on the road for the first five games of the season before returning to McWhorter Stadium for the home opener on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. against Furman.
