CLEMSON, S.C. – The No. 23/24 Clemson Tigers concluded the weekend sweep with a 3-0 shutout victory against the Baylor Bears (11-4) on Sunday afternoon in McWhorter Stadium. Sophomore Marian Collins led the Tigers (10-5) at the plate with two hits and two RBIs, while junior Sierra Maness earned her fourth win of the year in the circle. Clemson recorded four consecutive shutouts over the weekend, marking just the second time in program history the Tigers have achieved the feat. The only other four-game shutout streak came March 2–5, 2025.
The Tigers loaded the bases off the bat in the bottom of the first after singles by Jamison Brockenbrough and Mac Pavese were followed by a walk by Julia Knowler. Collins picked up the first RBI of the day with a single into left to plate Brockenbrough and give Clemson the 1-0 advantage after one.
Brockenbrough and Pavese provided another spark for the Tigers in the bottom of the second inning when Brockenbrough drew a full-count walk with two outs. Pavese followed with a double off the right-field fence to score Brockenbrough and double Clemson’s lead.
Collins recorded her second RBI with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning. With two outs and no one on, the sophomore drove the ball 213 feet over the left field wall at a velocity of 67 miles per hour. After her home run, Clemson would maintain the 3-0 lead for two innings to earn the 10th win of the year.
Graduate Abby Dunning notched her fourth start of the 2026 season and pitched 3.2 innings with four strikeouts and only one walk before exiting the game. Maness replaced her in the fourth and pitched the final 3.1 innings with two strikeouts to earn her fourth victory. Behind the plate, Clemson’s catchers, Corri Hicks and Sam Minish, each made the throw down to second to catch a runner attempting to steal.
