CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Softball program is set to host its annual Orange vs. Purple intrasquad scrimmage at McWhorter Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 1 to give fans a preview of the 2026 roster. The event, weather permitting, is free and open to the public with gates opening at 11:15 a.m. before first pitch at noon. No ticket is required.
Fans will be introduced to the 2026 roster and coaching staff before watching the team play a game-simulated scrimmage. This will be fans’ only opportunity to see the Tigers in McWhorter Stadium before the 2026 campaign kicks off on Feb. 5 in Clearwater, Fla., at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. The Tigers are scheduled to play five games during opening weekend before returning to McWhorter Stadium for the 2026 home opener on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. against Furman.
“The Clemson community and fans have continued to make McWhorter Stadium an incredible environment for our softball program to play and one of the best in the ACC,” said Head Coach John Rittman. “Providing an opportunity for the fans to see and meet our roster before the season each year has become a staple for our team. Clemson Athletics, administration and our coaching staff recognize how important it is to make our games available to as many fans as possible, and hosting this free event is a great way to start the 2026 campaign. We encourage fans to come out on Feb. 1 to see the team and purchase their single-game tickets either online or at the main gate before each game this season!”
Single-game tickets for 2026 home games at McWhorter Stadium will be available to IPTAY members beginning on Jan. 20, 2026, with tickets going on sale to the general public on Jan. 27. During the 2026 home slate, tickets will once again be available online, as well as at the gate for every regular-season home game. This exclusive offer is available for the season opener against Furman, along with games versus Charleston Southern, Winthrop, Gardner-Webb, and Presbyterian. Season ticket holders may secure these tickets online or through the Clemson Ticket Office.
