  • The No. 23/24 Clemson Softball program hosts its first of two tournaments this weekend when the Tigers welcome Lipscomb, Coastal Carolina and Baylor to McWhorter Stadium
  • In only its seventh year of competition, Clemson will face all three opponents for the first time with action getting underway on Friday
  • Due to additional athletic events on Friday and Saturday, Clemson’s first three games of the 2026 Clemson Classic will be a one-camera broadcast with announcers

MAC ATTACK

  • Freshman Mac Pavese stepped on the collegiate scene with a splash during opening weekend
  • Pavese made her collegiate debut against No. 5 Oregon and started the come-from-behind rally with a solo home run in the outing
  • With the home run in her collegiate debut, she became the third freshman in as many years to hit a home run in their collegiate debut joining Julia Knowler (2024) and Macey Cintron (2025)
  • On the weekend, she contributed six hits over four games (.429 average) and scored a team-high five runs
  • Continuing to push the envelope, Pavese stole two bases in the Liberty game that contributed to the then-program’s then-single-game record with eight stolen bases
  • She capped her opening weekend with three hits and one run scored agaist Michigan State
  • Pavese has a team high 13 hits and is one of three Tigers with three or more multi-hit outings
