Volleyball Announces 2025 Nonconference Slate

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Volleyball and head coach Jackie Simpson Kirr completed the 2025 schedule with the announcement of 12 nonconference matches that complement the 20 ACC contests that were announced in April. The nonconference slate is highlighted by nine home contests inside the recently renovated Jervey Gym.

Fans will get their first preview of the 2025 squad that features 11 returners from the 2024 roster during the annual Orange vs. Purple Scrimmage. This is a free and open event to all fans inside Jervey Gym on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. The Tigers will open the regular season 13 days later with a tournament in Columbia, S.C. Clemson will begin the year in a neutral site match against Campbell on Friday, Aug. 29. Opening weekend action will continue Saturday, Aug. 30 against ETSU before squaring off against South Carolina in the Palmetto Series presented by the South Carolina Education Lottery on Sunday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m.
Following opening weekend, the Tigers return home for the entirety of September that begins with a two-game stretch against North Carolina A&T on Thursday, Sept. 4 and Friday, Sept. 5. Along with this being the home-opening weekend for the Tigers, Clemson will also welcome back its alumni for Alumni Weekend. The 2025 season will be the 49th season of volleyball as a varsity program at Clemson, and the program is excited to welcome back members of the previous 48 teams.
Clemson will continue its home stretch by hosting four matches within a five-day span that will kick off with the SEC/ACC Showdown at the Net against Georgia on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The Tigers will co-host a tournament with Wofford where Clemson will host Elon (Sept. 11), USC Upstate (Sept. 12) and Wofford (Sept. 13) inside Jervey Gym. The nonconference slate will conclude with the Big Orange Bash Sept. 18-19 when the Tigers welcome Georgetown, Norfolk State and Charleston Southern to Clemson.
Following the nonconference schedule, the Tigers open ACC play with a home weekend against Florida State and Miami (Fla.) on Sept. 26 and 28, respectively.
The 2025 season will mark the first competitive season after construction was completed on the Jervey Gym Lobby, the new main entrance, located in the southeast side of the gym adjacent to Perimeter Road and catty-corner to Littlejohn Coliseum. This is the new access point for fans on match days that also features restrooms and concession areas. A premium seating option will reside on the south side of the gym on the second level known as the ACEs Club Lounge. ACEs Club Members at the highest giving tiers will be given the first opportunity to experience the ACEs Club Lounge during the 2025 regular season.
