PREVIEW

  • Clemson continues its month-long home stretch by welcoming Georgetown, Norfolk State and Charleston Southern to Jervey Gym for the final nonconference matches of the 2025 slate
  • Thursday’s match against Georgetown will mark the fifth meeting for the two programs and the first since 1991
  • The Tigers continue action on Friday morning at 11 a.m. in the first-ever meeting against Norfolk State
  • Clemson concludes its week on Friday evening at 7 p.m. against Charleston Southern where the Tigers hold a 13-0 advantage
  • This week marks the return of the Big Orange Bash (B.O.B.) – Clemson last hosted the B.O.B. to open the 2023 campaign since Jervey Gym was being renovated in 2024

WHAT A START

  • The 2025 roster have strung together a perfect 9-0 start for only the sixth time in program history and the first time since 1999
  • Other times the program has started with at least a 9-0 record include: 1993 (13-0), 1994 & 1997 (14-0), 1992 (15-0) and 1999 (16-0)
  • Clemson’s 9-0 record includes a 6-0 record on home court – the last time Clemson was at least 6-0 at home was the 2021 season when Clemson defeated Samford, NC A&T, Gardner-Webb, Georgia State, UNC Asheville, Rutgers and ETSU to finish the nonconference slate undefeated at home
  • The 2021 season was the first season of Head Coach Jackie Simpson Kirr’s tenure
  • Not only is the 9-0 start the best start since 1999, it marks the longest winning streak by the program since the 2007 season when Clemson strung together 17 wins from Sept. 14-Oct. 30

EVERYONE CONTRIBUTING

  • The Clemson program has had two different matches this season where the entire 15-player roster has made an appearance in at least one set (Elon & NC A&T)
  • This has allowed every athlete to tally at least one point for the Tigers via kill, block or ace
  • Every player on the roster has at least one dig during their appearance
  • Junior McKenna Gildon is averaging 3.71 digs per set (126 total), with Katherine Sandt being the second Tiger over 100 digs this season with 102. Transfer Khaya Gordon rounds out the group with one dig
  • Leading the way is junior Kennedy Wagner with 156 total points (4.88 per set), while Mia McGrath follows with 112 and Kate Hansen has 96
  • On the defensive side, Hansen and Nil Okur lead the Tigers with 21 total blocks (3 solo, 18 assisted) to average 0.72 per set
  • Sandt is dishing things out to all attackers with a team-high 339 assists (10.59 per set)
