2024 Summer League Tigers
CLEMSON, S.C. – A total of 16 returning Tigers from the 2024 team played in various summer leagues after the 2024 season. That total does not include outfielder Cam Cannarella and righthander Aidan Knaak, who were invited to the USA Collegiate National Team but did not participate.
Infielder and outfielder Tryston McCladdie earned honorable mention All-NECBL honors by hitting .383 with two homers, nine RBIs, 18 runs and 20 steals in 25 games with Martha’s Vineyard. Two of his Tiger teammates, pitchers Luke Brown and Jackson Cole, also played for Martha’s Vineyard.
Eight Tigers played in the Cape Cod Baseball League. Outfielder Tristan Bissetta played for Bourne, where he hit .267 with a double, a team-high four homers, 11 RBIs, nine runs, a .556 slugging percentage, .468 on-base percentage and a steal in 16 games. He helped Bourne to the championship series and was third in the league in slugging percentage and on-base percentage (minimum 45 at-bats). Lefthander Justin LeGuernic also played for Bourne.
Righthander Lucas Mahlstedt was one of three Tigers who played for Wareham. He was 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in 12.2 innings pitched over eight relief appearances. He joined catcher Jacob Jarrell, who hit two homers in 24 games, and lefty Ethan Darden on the Wareham roster.
Pitchers Noah Samol (Brewster), Rocco Reid (Brewster) and Joe Allen (Orleans) played in the Cape Cod League as well. Samol also pitched 31.0 innings with Asheboro, where he was a Coastal Plain League All-Star Game selection. Reid signed with the Diamondbacks after being drafted in the 15th round in July.
Righty Chance Fitzgerald and catcher Ty Marshall played for Lexington County in the Coastal Plain League. Fitzgerald was 2-2 with a 2.04 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 22.0 innings pitched over five starts.
Outfielder Lleyton Lackey (Gaithersburg in Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League), catcher Hideki Prather (Healdsburg in Pacific Empire League) and infielder Jarren Purify (Royal Oak in Northwoods League) also played in various summer leagues. Prather hit .304 with five homers and 11 RBIs in 15 games.
