Jon Opiela (jopiela@theacc.org) and Brandon McGinnis (bmcginnis@theacc.org) are the baseball media relations contacts for the ACC office.
Given the space available and the potential fluidity of attendees, credentials are issued on a game-by-game basis. Clemson’s philosophy is to include as many outlets as possible in the press box area and therefore, Clemson presently plans to limit each outlet to two on-site media writers per game (except for the South Carolina home game, where the limit is one). It is the responsibility of the outlet to determine the requested on-site representative of the organization.
It is also imperative that media members only request an in-person credential for games where attendance is certain. Credential requests from media members who regularly cover Clemson will be prioritized.
All media members are required to apply for credentials on a game-by-game basis. To ensure an up-to-date picture of both credential demand and the health/availability of requested attendees, credential applications open Monday at 8 a.m. for all games for the following Tuesday through Sunday as well as the following Monday.
To request a credential for a particular game, email Brian Hennessy (bhennes@clemson.edu) with the following information:
An approval/denial reply email is sent as soon as possible after review or deadline passing.
Media members must work from the designated media areas.
All Clemson postgame interviews are conducted on the second floor of the player facility at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Entry for this area is from above the first-base dugout.
See the SAFETY PROTOCOLS section below for acknowledgment of risk involved when applying for a credential to games at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
See the WILL CALL section below for information on credential pickup information and timing.
Notes, stats, stories and other information are emailed out on a game and series basis from the athletic communications office. Contact Brian Hennessy (bhennes@clemson.edu) to be added to the email list.
A catered meal is available in the press box approximately 90 minutes before each game at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. There are drinks available for media members in the press box as well.
Head Coach Erik Bakich and one or more players are available approximately 10-15 minutes following the game’s conclusion.
The video recording of Bakich’s opening statement as well as brief comments from players are uploaded to the YouTube page HERE.

If your outlet has interest in obtaining a credential for a photographer/videographer, see the procedure and request periods in the CREDENTIALS section above.
Click HERE for the photographer/videographer guidelines. There is patio space on the third-base side of the press box for television camerapersons to film. Positions are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Still photographers may take pictures near the playing field, but only in “lined-off” areas beyond each dugout. Positions are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Clemson provides a printed roster for both teams, scoresheets and a final box score in the press box. Other digital materials, such as notes, season statistics and the media guide, are available at ClemsonTigers.com.
Media members are asked not to loiter in the press box.

Media passes are available for pickup no more than 90 minutes prior to first pitch at the ticket gate located behind the main (home plate) grandstand. Media passes are not mailed nor available for pickup prior to that time. Media members must enter the stadium at that gate and walk up the steps (or take the elevator if unable to take the steps) behind the main grandstand to access the media seating areas.
