2009-2010 Men’s Basketball Season Tickets Available Now

July 30, 2009

The Clemson Athletic Ticket Office has started sales for the 2009-2010 men’s basketball season. The Tigers need your support at Littlejohn this year as they look forward to another exciting season. With another strong recruiting class, Head Coach Oliver Purnell and the Tigers will look to reach the NCAA tournament for the third consecutive year, a feat which has only happened one time in Clemson history. The 2009-2010 Tigers will be led by All-America candidate Trevor Booker, who led the ACC in rebounding and field goal percentage last year.

Season tickets are priced at $290 for 2009-2010. The men’s basketball schedule will officially be released in late August or early September. Conference games that will be held at home at Littlejohn Coliseum include Georgia Tech, Duke, North Carolina, Florida State, Maryland, Virginia, Boston College and Miami. The basketball season ticket deadline is set for September 21, 2009. All season tickets will be allocated by IPTAY level and then IPTAY points within each level.

Last year’s 2008-2009 men’s basketball season ticket holders will receive an e-mail prompting them to renew/order season tickets on July 30, 2009. If you do not order online at www.clemsontigers.com, a ticket application will be mailed to you in late August.

The general public can also order at this time online at www.clemsontigers.com. Please read the following Frequently Asked Questions for further information on men’s basketball season tickets.

Q: If the schedule has not been released, why are you selling season tickets? A: We know how many home games there are and all of the conference games have been set. Therefore, we have released the ACC games that will be played at home.

Q: What if I want to wait until the schedule is released before I decide to purchase season basketball tickets? A: You can wait until the schedule is released in early September if you prefer. Seats are assigned in IPTAY priority and will not be allocated until the beginning of October.

Q: If I order basketball season tickets, is there a chance I will not receive them? A: Anyone that had basketball season tickets last year will be able to renew them. Any additional tickets purchased will be allocated by IPTAY level and then by points within that level. If sales remain the same as last year, we would have 2,500 season tickets to sell this coming year.

Q: Will I get a paper application in the mail? A: Yes, you will still receive a paper application if you do NOT order or renew online at www.clemsontigers.com, but you must be an IPTAY donor to receive a paper application.

Q: What if I want to order single game tickets for basketball, which have been available in the past when I ordered season tickets? A: Once all of the basketball season ticket orders have been placed, we will then put individual games on sale with IPTAY donors having first priority.
