What is One Clemson…Solid Orange…It’s About Pride?

The slogan is about:

· pride…our actions honor our University, Traditions, Teams, Performance, People and Each other…

· a sense of unity as we work to build upon the foundation of past generations…

· sending a powerful message to Tiger student-athletes that what they do is important and it helps our teams climb to greater heights…

· creating a tremendous competitive advantage for the Clemson student-athletes on the field/court of competition…

· sending a powerful message to recruits (regardless of sport) that Clemson is a wonderful place. We recruit 365 days a year, whether is be for students in general or student-athletes. Whenever prospective students are in any of our athletic venues, or simply watching on television, they need to feel the Clemson experience is something that generates excitement and pride, and is an experience they want to join in the future…

· promoting unity, spirit and oneness among the Clemson Family…

· building strong relationships with all individuals throughout the Clemson University community and the constituents throughout the state of South Carolina…

· strengthen the traditions of Clemson University. It is a commitment that when our Clemson teams walk onto the field of competition, a sea of orange is visible and a competitive advantage is present…

· one event per sport each year will be designated Solid Orange…One Clemson Day. The goal is produce a sell-out crowd, recognize University wide accomplishments, promote all sports and show Clemson spirit. Solid Orange…One Clemson is the advancement of the principle adopted by the University and utilized by Athletics to create significant awareness of the Solid Orange…One Clemson principle which promotes unity, spirit and oneness with the Clemson Family…

· for the third consecutive season for the selected men’s and women’s basketball, men’s soccer and baseball games, an additional One Clemson… Solid Orange contribution will be added to each athletic ticket sold. The proceeds from the One Clemson event will be used for specific One Clemson academic efforts. The One Clemson concept recognizes the strength of unity in everything we do as a University. The One Clemson Fund supports the University’s academic goals that will further enhance the ability of Clemson University to make for a stronger South Carolina and nation. In the first three seasons, Athletics has contributed over $ 248,000 to the One Clemson Fund.
