2009-2010 Community Service by the Numbers

• 1,072 kids attended the Be a T.I.G.E.R.! Field Day and National Student-Athlete Day • 310 student-athletes participated in at least one event this year • Our department averaged 11.54 hours per student-athlete • Student-Athletes completed 5200+ hours of service • Service spanned over 202 different events, organizations and schools • The Solid Orange Squad completed 2294 hours of service • 55 SOS members completed 12+ hours of community service each • Over 15,000 people were touched by our community service program • The SOS visited 65 elementary, middle and high schools this academic year

• The top teams in total service hours are: 1. Women’s Swimming & Diving = 1496 hours 2. Rowing = 1299 hours 3. Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country = 394 hours 4. Football = 322 hours 5. Men’s Track & Field and Cross Country = 318 6. Women’s Tennis = 182 hours 7. Women’s Soccer = 177 hours

• The top five teams in service per team member are: 1. Women’s Swimming & Diving = 41.6 hours 2. Rowing = 20.62 hours 3. Women’s Tennis = 20.17 hours 4. Men’s Swimming & Diving = 16.14 hours 5. Women’s Soccer = 16.11 hours
