CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson won their 12th match of the season with a 3-0 win over Charleston Southern in a women’s intercollegiate soccer match at Riggs Field Satuday night.

Clemson improves its record to 12-3 overall, while Charleston Southern falls to 5-7-3 this season. The Lady Tigers are 12th in the NSCAA poll and 14th by Soccer America.

Heather Beem scored first for the Lady Tigers at the 6:55 mark for her fourth goal of the season. She was assisted by Tatum Clowney and Leigh Clark.

Paige Ledford scored her seventh goal of the season with 31:01 gone, giving the Lady Tigers a 2-0 advantage. This was her seventh goal of the season and was assisted by Tatum Clowney and Lindsay Browne.

Deliah Arrington came off the bench at the 38:27 mark for her eight goal this year giving Clemson a 3-0 lead. Allison Mtichell and Jami Walker were credited with the assists. Clemson’s Tatum Clowney finished the match with two assists.

Clemson will play the College of Charleston on Tuesday, October 30, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lady Tigers’ last regular season home match.

“I am proud in the way our team played in the first half,” said Clemson Head Coach Todd Bramble. “We did a great job on both sides of the ball. We substituted a lot in the second half and it was hard to have continuity in the lineup. At this time of the year, it is important give people playing time and for them to gain valuable experience.”
