Former Clemson point guard Terrell McIntyre has been nominated for the Euroleague All-Decade team on the association’s Web site, Euroleague.net. Fans can vote McIntyre on the Euroleague All-Decade team by visiting the following link: http://euroleaguequiz.euroleague.net/decadeVoting.
McIntyre was a three-time second-team All-ACC performer for the Tigers during his playing career at Clemson (1995-99). He led Clemson to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, which included a Sweet 16 finish during the 1996-97 season. He is still ranked No. 2 on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,839 career points.
The Raeford, NC native only played the last two and a half seasons in the Euroleague, playing for Italian club Montepaschi Siena. He was the Italian A League Most Valuable Player in 2006-07 and then led Montepaschi to the semifinals of Euroleague the next season. He was named to the All-Euroleague First Team in both 2007-08 and 2008-09. Montepaschi has won over 70 percent of its games since McIntyre joined the club. This season, the 5-foot-9 guard is averaging 11.4 points and 5.1 assists in Euroleague play.
