Athletic Highlight: Parkhurst was one of four members of the Clemson women’s swimming and diving team to compete at the 2008 NCAA Championships March 20-22 at Ohio State’s McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. Parkhurst led the way for the Tigers, earning honorable mention All-America honors after placing 16th in the 200 free with a time of 1:49.83. She finished the preliminary round of the event in 1:45.84, her second-fastest career time. Parkhurst was busy at the national championship meet, competing in the 200 free relay, the 100 and 200 back and the 200 free. She narrowly missed earning All-America honors in the 100 back, placing 17th in the event.   Athletic Highlight: After missing last season due to a torn ACL, the freshman Stoneburner pitched a two-hit shutout in Clemson’s 2-0 victory over N.C. State on Sunday, March 23 in front of 4,546 fans at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Stoneburner (4-0) allowed just two hits (both singles) and no runs, while giving up one walk and recording seven strikeouts to earn the win for the Tigers over the Wolfpack. The righthander threw 118 pitches to record Clemson’s first individual shutout since June 4, 2005, when Josh Cribb shut out #22 College of Charleston.
