Two Clemson Swimmers Qualify For 2004 NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships

CLEMSON, SC – Two members of the Clemson women’s swimming and diving team have qualified to represent the Tigers at the 2004 NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships in College Station, TX on March 18-20. Kim Routh will compete in three events and Kim Cober will compete in two events for Clemson at the national meet.

Routh will compete in the 200, 400 and 1500-meter free for the Tigers. This will be the second consecutive trip to the national meet for the sophomore from Sandusky, OH. At the 2003 NCAA Championships, Routh placed 22nd in the 1650 free (16:32.36) and recorded a time of 4:52.36 in the preliminary round of the 500 free.

Cober, a senior from Greensboro, NC, will represent the Tigers in the 400 and 1500m free at the 2004 NCAA Championships. This will be Cober’s first appearance at the national meet.
