CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson’s track & field program will host the Clemson Opener this Friday with Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Tennessee and 11 other schools set to compete.

The men’s pole vault, high jump and shot put will open the meet at 10 a.m. Track events begin at 11:20 a.m. with the women’s 5,000m run. The men’s and women’s triple jumps and the women’s weight throw will be the final field events starting at 4 p.m. The men’s 4x400m relay will conclude the meet at 5:10 p.m.

Live results will be available through Flash Results HERE, and heat sheets will be posted closer to the meet. All of Clemson’s home track & field meets are free for fans to attend.

Silvia Jelelgo will compete in the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener Women’s Elite 5K on Saturday, Dec. 6. Live results will be available through Lancer Timing Services (link not yet available), and the meet can be streamed with a FloTrack Subscription HERE.

    • The Clemson women’s track & field team won the ACC Championship with 89 points.
    • Kitt was crowned the ACC Indoor Women’s Track MVP after scoring 18 points, including a gold medal in the women’s 200m (23.13 seconds).
    • Foreman won the women’s triple jump with a mark of 13.55m / 44’ 05.46”.
    • Wilson captured the ACC women’s 60m hurdles with a time of 8.09 seconds.
    • Kosgei set a new women’s mile school record with a time of 4:26.32.
    • Shyheim Scotland earned gold in the men’s high jump (2.19m / 7’ 02.22”).
  • In last year’s edition of the Clemson Opener, Kitt set the women’s 300m program record time of 37.39 seconds.
  • Chepngetich set the women’s 1000m run school record (2:39.99) at last year’s Clemson Invitational, earning USTFCCCA DI Women’s Athlete of the Week (Jan. 13, 2025).
  • Kweyei set the men’s 800m school record (1:46.26) at last year’s Orange and Purple Invitational.
