CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s tennis program returns to action this weekend. Starting tomorrow, Jan. 9, the Tigers will compete at the Evert Tennis Academy in Boca Raton, Fla. and play through Jan. 11 in a hidden dual against Arizona, Florida, Illinois and Michigan.

Yesterday, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its first rankings of the 2026 season which had Clemson at No. 25.

HIDDEN DUAL SCHEDULE

Friday Jan. 9:

Noon: Doubles

3:00 p.m.: Singles – Clemson vs. Florida/Illinois

Saturday Jan. 10:

10:00 a.m.: Doubles

11:00 a.m.: Singles – Clemson vs. Arizona

Sunday Jan. 11:

10:00 a.m.: Doubles

11:00 a.m.: Singles – Clemson vs. Michigan

 

FALL REVIEW

  • After winning the ITA Carolina Regionals, Romain Gales went on to play in the NCAA Singles Championship Tournament, reaching the Round of 16. This accomplishment earned Gales All-American status.
  • Manuel Plunger and Henrik Bladelius competed in the Blue Gray Tournament in Montgomery, Ala. in September, defeating Auburn to win the Gray Draw. The pair went on to play North Alabama, the winners of the Blue Draw to become tournament champions. Bladelius also received tournament MVP honors.
  • Nate Pitts won all five of his matches in the UTR College Circuit at Furman to claim the tournament championship.
  • Matisse Farzam and Marko Mesarovic defeated Mississippi to win the Battle on the Plains Tournament at Auburn in October.
  • Edoardo Chérié Lignière went a perfect 6-0 to win the first of two UTR Professional Tennis Tournaments hosted in Clemson in October.
  • Noa Vukadin went 4-0 without dropping a single set on his way to winning the second UTR Professional Tennis Tournament at Duckworth over Halloween weekend.
  • In Nov., Plunger competed in the ITF M25 Manzanillo Open and defeated Alan Fernando Rubio Fierros in the finals to be crowned champion.
