Tigers Defeat North Greenville, 79-57, in Final Exhibition

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s basketball team won its second and final exhibition game of the 2016 preseason on Sunday afternoon at Littlejohn Coliseum, defeating the Crusaders of North Greenville, 79-57.

Three players were in double figures in scoring, led by junior Nelly Perry, who finished with a double double, with 19 points and 11 rebounds, and also added four blocked shots and three assists on the day. Sophomore Danielle Edwards and freshman Kobi Thornton scored 14 points apiece. Ten different players scored at least two points in the contest.

The Tigers outrebounded the Crusaders 61-38, led by Perry’s 11. Sophomore Sirah Diarra also pulled down 11 boards in the game. Junior Alexis Carter dished out four assists to lead Clemson in that category.

Clemson opens the 2016-17 regular season on Friday, Nov. 11 against Coastal Carolina. The contest tips off at noon in Littlejohn Coliseum. Click HERE for ticket information.
