Before Clemson:
In her four-year career at Arizona State, Martel played in 54 and started in 40 games for the Sun Devils. She’s scooped up 41 ground balls in her career while also managing to score three goals and notch four assists from the defense position.

SOPHOMORE (2020):
- Started all eight games for the Sun Devils in her second year in Tempe
- Was on pace to set career highs in draw controls, ground balls, and caused turnovers in the shortened season
- Set a career high in the season opener with two draw controls against UC Davis (2/8)
- Building on a strong freshman campaign, Martel scooped up 12 ground balls in only eight games this season (Had 14 ground balls in 18 games as a freshman)
- Had a ground ball and a caused turnover in two separate games this season [Detroit Mercy (2/14) and Stanford (3/8)]
- Dominant in PAC-12 play, Martel grabbed five of her 12 ground balls this season in the two conference games
- Tied her career high in ground balls in a game twice this season with three against Detroit Mercy and California (3/6)
FRESHMAN (2019):
- Quickly earned the trust of the coaches and was rewarded with important playing time during her first season in Tempe
- Showed the versatility to play multiple positions, looking comfortable as a defender and midfielder
- Appeared in all 18 games, starting 10 of those
- Earned the start in seven of her last nine games
- Finished the 2019 season with 14 ground balls and eight caused turnovers
- Enjoyed a productive offensive season despite her mostly defensive role, tallying three goals and four assists
- Registered her first collegiate point, an assist, against No. 19 Stanford
- Caught fire offensively during a outstanding three-game stretch (4/07-4/14), recording six points (two goals & four assists)
- A important part of the victory over Presbyterian, finishing with a season-high two goals in addition to an assist
- Dished out a season-best two assists and picked up a pair of ground balls against Liberty
- One of only four freshman to start at least 10 games
Notable High School Accomplishments:
- Played at the Maryland United Lacrosse Club
- Four-year varsity starter at Severna Park High School.
- Appeared in two state championships, winning one of them during an outstanding prep career
- Appeared in the Nike Elite 120 showcase
- Received the Top Scholar-Athlete Award and the Minds in Motion Award for her achievements off the field

Why did you choose Clemson?:
Clemson to me was a no-brainer. It’s a beautiful campus, has great academics, and an incredible support system from the community and staff which makes me feel at home.
