2022-23

  • He put together a career year in his fifth season in Tigertown. Tyson notched career highs in many areas, including points (15.3) and rebounds (9.6) per game last season.
  • Shot 47.9 percent from the floor, 40.5 percent from three and 83.8 percent at the free throw line. In league play, he was even better. He averaged 16.4 points and 9.9 rebounds while shooting 50.5 percent and 84.3 percent at the charity stripe.
  • Tyson became the 44th player in Clemson history to amass 1,000 career points and has since moved into the top 40 all time.
  • He collected 16 double-doubles which tied him for eighth all-time in Clemson history for a single season with Sharone Wright (1992-93). It is the most in a season since Wright posted 18 in 1993-94.
  • Tyson ranks 11th in the nation in double-doubles and is second in the ACC. He’s first in defensive rebounding per game (8.26) and second nationally. His 325 rebounds are fourth in the league and 18th nationally.
  • The Monroe, N.C. native became just the 17th player in Clemson history to eclipse 1,000 points and 600 rebounds in a career. In Clemson’s win over the Wolfpack (Feb. 25), Tyson became the all-time games played leader in Clemson history (136).
  • Earned ACC Player of the Week honors last year – the first of his career.

2021-22

  • A staple in the Tiger lineup, Tyson shot a career-high 46.6 percent from the floor and 78.6 percent from the free throw line, despite missing eight games due to a broken collarbone suffered on Feb. 2 against Florida State.
  • He averaged a career-high 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest last season.
  • Netted double-figure points 13 times last season, including a season-high 20 points in a home win over Bryant (Nov. 15).
    • He finished 8-for-13 from the floor and grabbed five rebounds.
  • He posted 18 points and 17 points in back-to-back victories over South Carolina (Dec. 18) and at Virginia (Dec. 22).
    • In both contests, Tyson finished 12-for-22 from the floor, 3-for-8 from three and 8-for-11 at the foul line. He averaged 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
  • Tyson collected his first career double-double in the win over South Carolina. He posted 18 points and a career-best 13 rebounds, while adding an assist and a steal. He finished with six offensive rebounds – another career-high.
  • Made a season-best eight field goals in the win over Bryant, but totaled at least five made field goals in seven games, including six on three occasions last season.
  • Totaled a career-best 32 assists last year, including a career-high four in a home win over Miami (Oh.) (Dec. 14).

2020-21

  • Enjoyed a career season in many aspects in 2020-21 and elevated himself as one of the Tigers’ primary contributors.
  • Shot career bests from the floor (46.5 percent), three (43.1 percent) and free throw line (77.1 percent).
  • Averaged a career-best 7.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest.
  • Limited to 19 out of a possible 24 contests due to a facial fracture injury suffered against Alabama (Dec. 12).
  • Netted 13 points against South Carolina State (Dec. 2).
    • Finished 4-for-5 from the floor, 2-for-2 from three and 3-for-4 at the foul line.
  • Got off to a lightning fast start before suffering his injury against Alabama, hitting his first three shots and scoring nine points.
  • Returned from injury against Virginia (Jan. 16) and scored nine points on 3-for-5 shooting.
  • Scored 10 points in a win over Louisville (Jan. 27).
    • Finished 4-for-9 from the floor, including a couple triples.
  • Scored a then-season-high 16 points in a home win over North Carolina (Feb. 2).
    • Notched all 16 points in the second half of the game, finishing 5-for-11 from the floor and 2-for-5 from three.
    • Tied a season-high with two steals against the Tar Heels.
  • Scored 19 total points in back-to-back wins at Wake Forest (Feb. 24) and against Miami (Feb. 27).
    • Shot 6-for-13 from the floor in both contests, including 16 total rebounds.
    • Corralled a career-high 10 rebounds at Wake Forest, which included two on the offensive glass. He finished one point shy of his first career double-double.
  • Tallied 16 points in the Tigers’ final home game of the season against Pittsburgh (March 6).
    • Shot 5-for-6 from the floor and 2-for-3 from three.
  • Made it back-to-back games with 16 points against Miami in the ACC Tournament (March 10).
    • Finished 5-for-8 from the floor and a perfect 4-for-4 from three.
    • Totaled seven rebounds against the Hurricanes with a block and an assist.
  • Finished the season with 10 points in his first career NCAA Tournament game against Rutgers (March 19).
    • Finished 4-for-10 from the floor and 2-for-3 from three. Also totaled two rebounds and two steals.

2019-20

  • Matched career-best, appearing in 31 games, making three starts (including first career start).
  • Averaged a career-high 5.5 points per game, scoring 170 points. Also averaged 3.0 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 0.5 steals per game.
  • Scored in double-figures on seven occasions, including two 20-point games.
  • Improved shooting percentage by nearly 20.0 percent (44.5 percent).
  • Improved 3-point shooting percentage bu nearly nine percent (32.1 percent).
  • Upped free throw shooting to 70.7 percent.
  • More than doubled his rebounding per game with 3.0 rebounds per contest and a career-high 92 rebounds, including a career-best 20 offensive boards.
  • Tallied a career-high 17 steals.

Best Games, 2019-20

  • Scored a then-career-high 20 points in a win over Detroit Mercy (Nov. 17), finishing 7-for-13 from the field and 5-for-10 from 3-point range. The seven field goals and five 3-pointers were both career-highs.
  • Followed up a career-best with 10 points in a win over Alabama A&M (Nov. 21) on 4-for-8 shooting from the floor. Added a career-high nine rebounds and notched a career-high 26 minutes.
  • Finished 3-for-6 from the floor, a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line and added 12 points in a loss at Minnesota (Dec. 2).
  • Tallied eight rebounds in a dominant win over Jacksonville (Dec. 20).
  • Scored 11 points in 24 minutes against Yale (Dec. 22).
  • Earned second career start against Wake Forest (Jan. 21) and scored a career-high 21 points on a career-best nine made field goals (9-13). Added five rebounds and finished 2-for-5 from 3-point range.
  • Posted back-to-back double-digit scoring games in consecutive road games, including 11 points on a perfect 4-for-4 in a historical Clemson team shooting performance in a victory at Boston College (Feb. 22). Scored 10 points in a road loss at Georgia Tech (Feb. 25).
  • Tallied eight points on 3-for-5 shooting and 2-for-4 from three in the Tigers’ ACC Tournament victory over Miami (March 11).

2018-19

  • Appeared in 31 games, all off the bench for the Tigers
  • Averaged 8.3 minutes per game and played a career-high 21 minutes against Creighton in the Cayman Islands Classic
  • Averaged 1.6 points per game and 1.0 rebounds per contest
  • Posted 12 assists, eight blocks and two steals.
  • Made 16 field goals and connected on 11 3-pointers.

BEST GAMES, 2018-19

  • Made collegiate debut in the season opener against The Citadel (Nov. 6), playing 12 minutes and scoring four points and grabbing four rebounds. Also posted a season-high three assists and made a season-high four free throws in that game against the Bulldogs
  • Scored a then-season-high six points on two triples against NC Central (Nov. 9)
  • Played a season-high 21 minutes against Creighton in the Cayman Islands Classic (Nov. 21)
