Outfielder who was one of the top Tigers off the bench … a career .250 hitter with a .397 on-base percentage in 86 games (19 starts) over four seasons … had nine doubles, one triple, 18 RBIs, 17 runs, 22 walks and six hit-by-pitches … was 11-for-46 (.239) with seven RBIs as a pinch-hitter in his career.

2014: Hit .100 with five runs, one RBI, a .438 on-base percentage and six walks against one strikeout in 15 games off the bench … hit a pinch-hit single and scored a run against Maine on Feb. 22 … had a pinch-hit walk and scored a run against No. 11 Miami (Fla.) on April 27.

2013: Hit .245 with five runs, five doubles, one triple, six RBIs, a .362 on-base percentage, eight walks and one hit-by-pitch in 27 games (11 starts as the DH) … Clemson had a 10-1 record in his 11 starts … was 8-for-26 (.308) with four doubles, one triple, five RBIs and a .538 slugging percentage in 10 ACC regular-season games (six starts) … went 1-for-3 with a run-scoring double and walk against Gardner-Webb on April 3 … went 2-for-4 with a team-tying-season-high two doubles and three RBIs at Boston College on April 5; his three-run double in the seventh inning proved to be the difference in Clemson’s 7-5 win … went 1-for-2 with a double, RBI, run and walk at Boston College on April 6 … hit a pinch-hit single at Boston College on April 7; was 4-for-8 with three doubles and four RBIs in the series … went 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run against Wake Forest on April 12 … went 1-for-2 with a run and two walks against Western Carolina on April 24.

2011: Was 2-for-8 (.250) with two runs, four RBIs, three walks, three hit-by-pitches and a .571 on-base percentage in 14 games, all off the bench … had three putouts without committing an error … was 2-for-5 with runners in scoring position … was 2-for-2 with four RBIs and a walk with the bases loaded … had his first career hit along with an RBI off the bench against Charleston Southern on Feb. 26 … hit a pinch-hit, two-run single in the first game of a doubleheader against Gardner-Webb on May 7 … played for Wilson in the Coastal Plain League in the summer, where he hit .299 with 23 runs, eight doubles, one triple, two homers and 21 RBIs in 48 games … No. 36 prospect in the Coastal Plain League by Perfect Game.

Before Clemson: Rated as the No. 33 prospect in Florida and the No. 221 prospect in the nation by Perfect Game … all-area, all-county and all-conference as a senior at Barron Collier High School … team captain as a junior and senior … preseason honorable mention All-American by Perfect Game and Under Armour as a senior … all-county and all-conference selection as a sophomore … from the same high school that produced Tiger first-baseman Andy D’Alessio (2004-07) and Tiger outfielder Jeff Schaus (2008-11) … lettered four times in baseball at Barron Collier High, where he was coached by Dan Maurer.

Personal: His father, Jerry, played baseball at Stetson … graduated May 9, 2014 with a degree in sociology … born Joseph Jeffrey Costigan on June 16, 1991 in Akron, Ohio.
