Solid Orange Tiger Letterwinner’s Spring Gathering Events to be Held April 13 and 14

March 26, 2007

Dear Tiger Letterwinner:

As Joe Sherman, the originator of Tigerama, put it, “there is something in these hills”. And we want to give you just one more good reason to return to this place we all love. We are planning a Solid Orange Tiger Letterwinner’s Spring Gathering. It will be a fun weekend and you and your family will not want to miss it!

We are planning 1) a golf tournament; 2) a tennis tournament; 3) a fun run; and 4) a horseshoe tournament. This year we are adding another event that we are calling “Clemson Sons Bowl”. It will be an 8-man flag football game following the Orange and White game on April 14, 2007. This is an opportunity for former players of different eras to come together in what we hope to be an annual event at the Tiger Letterwinners Spring Gathering. From former walk-ons to NFL stars, Clemson Sons Bowl is about former players uniting for One Clemson!

The golf, tennis and horseshoe tournaments will be held on or very near our beautiful campus Friday, April 13, 2007. The Fun Run and the Clemson Sons Bowl will be on Saturday, April 14, 2007. The Orange and White football game will be the highlight event on Saturday, April 14, 2007. Our track team will have their Solid Orange Track Meet on Saturday as well.

There are so many reasons to come back other than seeing teammates and sharing memories. After all the events of Friday, we will have a dinner that evening catered by ARAMARK for all Letterwinners and their families. Saturday morning we will have the fun run and lunch for you and your family catered by Coach’s Low Country Boil.

You can get a copy of the brochure by going to the website, clemsontigers.com, and printing it out and mailing it to: Jim Davis, PO Box 1529, Clemson, SC 29633. You can also fax it to Jim Davis at (864) 656-0415. You can call (864) 903-9797 and request a copy of the brochure be mailed to you. “Word of mouth” is one of the best ways to communicate. If you speak to a teammate, ask them if they are coming and have received information. If not, tell them about it!

It is going to be a “Tigeriffic” weekend, but it will not be nearly as much fun if YOU are not here! For, after all, “there is something in these hills”!

Go Tigers!
