Shurtleff & Masaracchia Receive USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American Nods

CLEMSON, S.C. – USA Lacrosse Magazine announced its 2026 Women’s NCAA Division I Preseason All-Americans on Tuesday afternoon, with Clemson standouts Natalie Shurtleff (Second Team midfielder) and Paris Masaracchia (Honorable Mention defender) earning national recognition.

Shurtleff becomes just the third Tiger in program history to receive preseason All-America honors. Masaracchia is the first Clemson player to earn preseason All-America distinction multiple times after being named to the Second Team last year. Shurtleff also collected Third-Team All-America honors at the conclusion of the 2025 season.

SHURTLEFF HIGHLIGHTS

• Shurtleff in the record book:
  • Clemson’s all-time points leader with 99.
  • Ranks second in career assists (41).
  • Holds the second-most assists in a season (21 in 2025) and is tied for third (20 in 2024).
  • Tied for fourth on Clemson’s career goals list alongside Regan Byrne and is just two goals shy of entering the top three.
  • Tied for sixth-most points in a season (57 in 2025) and ranks 10^th (42 in 2024).
  • Eighth-most goals in a season with 36 (2025).
  • Shares the program record for most assists in a game (four on April 5, 2025, vs. Virginia Tech).
  • Sixth in career ground balls (46).
  • Fifth in career draw controls (69) and 10^th in single season draw controls (35 in 2025).
  • Seventh in career turnovers (23).
  • Tied for second in career game-winning goals (three), including two last seasons.
  • Fourth in career free-position goals (13).

  • Has started all 57 games of her career, the most in Clemson history, and is tied for the program record for games played.
