CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson University men’s basketball’s senior forward RJ Godfrey (Suwanee, Ga./North Gwinnett/Georgia) earned All-ACC Honorable Mention. The league announced the postseason recognitions on ACCN’s ACC PM this evening.
Godfrey has turned in a career year for the Tigers in his return to Clemson for his senior campaign. He secured his first 300-point season (364) and leads the Tigers in scoring (11.7 per game) and is second in rebounding with 163 total rebounds (5.3 per game).
The Suwanee, Ga. native posted career-highs in field goal percentage (.636), rebounds (163), assists (50) and steals (20).
Godfrey is one of 22 players nationally and one of nine high major players to average at least 11.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and shoot over 63.0 percent from the field.
The Tigers open the ACC Tournament on Wednesday, March 11 at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN2. Clemson will face the winner of Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
