Riley Joins Women?s Basketball Staff

CLEMSON, S.C. – Darian Riley has joined the women’s basketball staff as the Video Coordinator, Head Coach Audra Smith announced Friday. Riley has spent the past two seasons at LSU as a Graduate Assistant for the women’s basketball team, both of which ended in NCAA Sweet 16 appearances for the Tigers.

“We are very excited to add as talented a young man as Darian to our staff, and I think he will fit in well,” said Smith. “The video coordinator position is integral to our success as we look to build a championship-caliber program, and Darian’s experience at LSU will certainly help that.”

Riley replaces Logan Liles, who served in the role for the previous two seasons, and will be responsible for helping to put together the scouting reports, breaking down game film, as well as filming practices and games. He’ll also assist in producing some videos for social media and the website.

“I am more than excited to be at Clemson. This is a great program with influential coaches and driven players that are ready to take Clemson Women’s Basketball to extraordinary heights. It is an honor to join this staff and help build the program”

Riley, a native of Metairie, La. attended LSU, earning a BS in sports management in 2012 and worked toward a Master’s Degree in leadership, development and training. He has been involved in some capacity with the women’s basketball team for six years, as he played on the scout team from 2008-12. He helped plan the Big Monday event twice and assisted in event management at the 2012 Men’s NCAA Final Four in New Orleans.
